The Dreams of the Desert / Les Rêves du Désert
Synopsis
On May 29, 2023, Léo fulfills a dream he once thought impossible: walking 900 km across the largest salt desert in the world, in Bolivia, to collect the dreams of the future from the ancestral Aymara and Chipaya communities through a universal language of painting. Between extreme solitude, unexpected encounters, and the mysterious beauty of the desert, this film is a deeply moving immersion into another way of seeing the world, inhabiting the present moment, and believing in the future. How do people live in a salt desert? Can we still dream in an uncertain world? A powerful and luminous initiatory journey that reveals the strength of our dreams and questions our relationship with the world.
