Kahuna 1920 x 1080

Synopsis

Kahuna – Sailing the Arctic chronicles the daring journey of four engineering students, aged 22 and 23, who embarked on a homemade sailing and skiing expedition. Driven by their desire to learn and master everything themselves—from skiing and sailing to filmmaking—they set sail from Lorient, France, in March 2022 aboard Kahuna, their self-built electric sailboat. For five exhilarating months, they explored the Arctic slopes of Norway and Svalbard, powered by the endless polar light. The team tackled 40 mountain peaks, achieving the first descent of Store Lenangstinden’s north face. Told with a light and dynamic tone, this film captures an Arctic adventure that is as challenging as it is inspiring, showcasing the spirit of youthful exploration and resilience.
