Beyond Dreams follows the extraordinary journey of Brazilian mountaineer Roman Romancini as he pursues his lifelong dream of reaching the summit of Mount Everest. From an early passion for sport and adventure, Roman’s path is marked by extreme physical and emotional challenges, including a near-fatal cycling accident that nearly ends his athletic career. While recovering, he faces another devastating setback: a cancer diagnosis. Despite the odds, Roman refuses to abandon his dream, using it as motivation through a long and painful rehabilitation process. Supported and sometimes questioned by doctors, coaches, family, and friends, he continues to push forward with unwavering determination. Over the years, Roman completes four of the Seven Summits during winter ascents, a feat considered nearly impossible. After surviving the deadly 2014 avalanche at the Khumbu Icefall near Everest Base Camp, he returns to the Himalayas four years later alongside filmmaker Rafael Duarte and Sherpa guide Padawa Sherpa to document his most demanding expedition yet.
