The Altai Crossing

Two mountain bikers and a local guide embark on an ambitious journey across Mongolia’s remote Altai Mountains, navigating a rarely travelled route through some of the country’s most spectacular and isolated landscapes. Riding fully loaded bikes, they tackle challenging mountain passes, including one known locally as the “Pass of Death”, camp among wild horses and experience the hospitality of nomadic families along the way. A remarkable cycling adventure combining physical challenge, cultural discovery and encounters with a traditional way of life that has endured for generations.
