Synopsis

Walking on the Waves is a documentary series composed of 13 half-hour episodes in which the journey of a surfer is mixed with those of the Camino de Santiago pilgrims. The protagonist is Kepa Acero, a famous Spanish surfer and traveler who will take you by your hand as he travels through Northern Spain, starting at the French border and finishing in Santiago de Compostela, the end of the “Camino de Santiago”. Kepa travels by bicycle with his surfboard, showing different places during his trip, talking with other pilgrims, visiting local surfers and meeting all sorts of people. He shows us the old road to Santiago in Spain, which is known as the “northern road” or “coastal road” and discovers the wonderful beaches and surroundings of the Spanish Atlantic coast.
