Building rafts with nature’s gifts, with occasional travel companions and venturing on adventurous explorations of rivers that cross tropical forests, urban centres, and landfills. All of this is The Raftmakers. There are limited resources, innumerable difficulties and dangers with adopting the pioneering approach of the past. Everything is filmed and narrated by documentary maker Igor D’India. Just back from an expedition in Walter Bonatti’s footsteps on The Yukon River (Alaska), he personally saw the effects of climate change on populations and the Great North environment and decided to understand how our rivers are changing and how we can protect them.
