Synopsis

A diverse coalition of musicians, scientists, and activists converged in Albany to protest against fracking as Governor Cuomo considered lifting the moratorium in New York. With less than a month to prepare, they crafted a unique event blending music and message to highlight the dangers of fracking. Led by New Yorkers Against Fracking, the night featured stars like Mark Ruffalo, Melissa Leo, and Natalie Merchant. Captured in a documentary directed by Jon Bowermaster, produced by Mark Ruffalo and filmed by Academy Award winner Alex Gibney, this passionate gathering inspired a series of ‘Dear’ films, including ‘Dear Governor Brown’ and ‘Dear President Obama’, amplifying the call for environmental action.
