Dalua Downhill is not just for fans of skateboarding. It’s a film for those who enjoy a good story. Dalua Downhill is a documentary film that shows Douglas Rodrigues da Silva, also known as Dalua, in his pursuit for the Downhill Skateboarding world title – one of the most radical sports in the world, when the skaters go down the hills at speeds greater than 110 Km/h (70 mph). During 2 years, the film follows this Brazilian athlete in his travels around the world, revealing that, beyond the competition, there is a history of struggle, heart, pressure and pain. Douglas Dalua is one of those heroes who pays the price for living his dream. Friendship and rivalry desperate and conflictuous feelings among athletes, while they duel with each other for the world champion title. They are friends, but they are also rivals. What unites them, also separates. Dalua Downhill shows beautiful landscapes in competitions around the world, but the scene where the main conflicts is happening in the small town of Teutonia, southern Brazil, considered the most radical hill in the world.
