The Endless Winter II
Synopsis
Europe has always been a travelling surfer’s dream. Diverse coastlines, curious cultures, and perfect waves awaited those who first explored the continent for surf and adventure in the 1960s. Fifty years later, we join a new generation of European surfers as they trace the footsteps of the pioneering few who first tackled Europe’s waves and shaped its extraordinary surf scene. British surf explorer Mark Harris follows the classic coastal route south from Cornwall to Morocco, retracing one of surfing’s most iconic European journeys. Along the way, he connects with leading local surfers including Pauline Ado, Kepa Acero, Nic Von Rupp, and Abdel El Harim, as well as big-wave legend Garrett McNamara, and surf pioneers such as Kevin Naughton and Bill Hamilton. Together, they explore the evolution of European surf culture—where history, adventure, and a shared love of the ocean continue to shape every wave.
