Synopsis

(Also available in 2 x 60 mins) “The British Backpacker Society: The Age of Fear” is an adventure travel documentary series that challenges preconceptions about places that the West has been told to fear. A 3-man team undertake a trailblazing overland journey from Crimea to Iraq, via Chechnya, Dagestan, the Nagorno Karabakh borderlands, and Iran. Alongside considering the complexities of the politics of the Caucasus and the Middle East, the team have a showdown with an Azeri frog, are serenaded by the Russian army, and discover a lavatorial revolution in Iraq.
