Synopsis

‘Terra Magica’ is a documentary about winemakers in Goriška Brda, a western region in Slovenia, bordering to Italy. It is the story of a small group of friends, who with their hard work and dedication revived the traditional, natural and biodynamic ways of making wine. They took over from their fathers and raised Slovenian wines to the world’s top in merely 20 years. Now their wines are drunk in the most prestigious establishments, from New York to Tokyo. The film follows them trough their work on the green hills of their vineyards and in their cellars, on journeys throughout the world and records their philosophy regarding wine and life and gives a glimpse into what it is to be a first rate wine maker. ‘Terra Magica’ is a tribute to love of wine and beautiful nature of winemaking.
