Synopsis

In August 2016 I had the opportunity to follow professional and non-professional skaters during a European tour, looking for unusual places to skate. Generally, skateboard videos only show tricks, not what happened before and after. How were the locations found? Or, what’s going on in skaters’ minds when they fail. I’ve been searching for those answers about what is usually hidden. I want you to experience their doubts; the backstage euphoria while they are searching for picture-perfect places. I want “Next Spot” to be as free as its characters, but strengthened by a solid and poetic storytelling. Join us and feel the fear, the doubts and the dedication, as well as the joy and the exhilaration experienced by skaters during their tour, searching for the “Next Spot”. Part of the team are, both rookies and skating legends such as Dustin Dollin, Julien Bachelier, Remy Taveira and Samu Karvonen. Official Selection Skate and Surf Film Festival 2017.
