Synopsis

Seven seas. Three mates. Two years. One documentary. With the intention of preventing the rise of youth suicide in Australia, 3 Aussie mates set out to surf the 7 seas of the world, using their journey to inspire rural and regional teenagers to realise their dreams. What began its life as a surf film to feature the greatest waves of all time, 3mates7seas instead captures the chaos and disillusionment of life on the road, in each other’s pockets, without enough money or a realistic plan. When mayhem, arguments, accidents, illness, and no surf becomes the rule rather than the exception, not only was their motivation to finish at stake, but their sanity, safety and friendships were pushed to breaking point.
